"I have a weird drive to want to read spoilers. But I think that’s with everything. It’s a very Google-y, current culture, where you want to know everything and nothing at the same time. I want everything in my life to be a surprise, but I want to understand every facet of everything. So I understand the impulse completely, but I also want people to be surprised. I like when I am surprised. But, yeah, I am drawn to spoilers." — Spoke to Emma Stone (!) about the ending of “The Amazing Spider-Man 2.”
STONE-d in LOVE! How Emma Stone Keeps FIT and FAB!
So I just watched The Amazing Spider-man 2 and guess what? I am dying from the pain it caused me. Of course I knew that Gwen died in comic-books, but deeply in my heart I hoped they would change the entire story, because she deserved it, she was one of the most beautiful, pure, funny and smart character ever known. She was the one to risk her life and prepare antidote, she was the one who came to help peter twice (in the first movie, when she hit the lizard with a trophy and in second movie, when she hit the Electro with a car), without her helping him, Peter would have never defeat Lizard or Electro. She was the real hero, bravely fighting, risking her life for the one she loved, without any super-power. She was the only one in that movie who truly deserved happiness. That is why I just can’t watch another spider-man movie. I can’t watch Peter falling in love with Mary Jane and being happy, when Gwen Stacy is six feet under. It’s too damn hard.
Not everyone has a happy ending.
the way he wrenches his whole body around to shield her from the glass is mesmerizing
